Unfortunately, it was necessary to search elsewhere for the required components. One website with a fairly good selection of DVB cards and packages is cyberestore.com. It sells individual components, but the easiest way to go is to get a package so that you don’t buy the wrong pars by mistake.
For instance, the Skystar 2 PCI DVB Satellite TV System includes a 31-inch satellite dish, a DVB PCI card, and a LNBF. The system costs around $149, which is fairly affordable.
Of course, before you purchase a system or components, you have to check which satellites service your area. For example, Hawaii is one state with coverage issues (although satellite TV is available). Location also matters, specifically whether or not you live in a condo or house. If you can get the reception though, you’ll be on your way to having the ability to watch satellite TV online.
