Hello Kitty is a cute tiny cartoon character cat created by Sanrio, a well-known Japanese company. The kitty was initially created in the 70s and has since become aworld phenomenon. There’s no question that the modestly drawn large-faced, white cat in a pink dress is appealing to youngsters, but you’d most likely be surprised to know she’s’s a hit with adults too. In fact, Hello Kitty is one of the hottest cartoon characters in the world and has an international legion of fans of all ages. Thereis a matching multitude of themed merchandise to go with the prodigy, including stuffed animals, games, party bags, even hi Kitty checks and credit cards!

Some firms even use short edition Hello Kitty goods to attract patrons. One airline put the cartoon on their airplanes and tickets. Dozens of wellknown multinationals like McDonalds have given away Hello Kitty toys as promotions and generated mobs of purchasers fighting for the items as a result. There’s even a complete theme park dedicated to Hello Kitty in Japan. It’s similar to Disney World, but with a cat as the main character, rather than a mouse.

The appeal of Hello Kitty appears to be her simplicity. Sheisn’t drawn elaborately or embellished by any means. She just simply is what sheis an easy white cat, and that means that people of any age or culture can relate to her. Her complete name is even simple…..Kitty White. He even has a family including folks and a sister, but these characters are barely seen. It’s Kitty White herself who is the main attraction. This worldwide influence has lead many non-profit associations to adopt her as an emblem for their campaigns, or to sell products with her face on it.

Adults who fancy the cat don’t seem to beembarrassed at all by their fascination with her. Grown-up males and females will proudly pull out their Hello Kitty checks at the grocery store or whip out their in a similar fashion decorated visacards at the shopping center. Often , whole families are enamored of the kitty. That’s the reason why she’s’s a billion dollar a year industry.
