HP Color LaserJet 5100tn Toner - Makes for A Great Compatible Toner Cartridge

It is not very often you find a printer that is exceptional at a specific task and still able to perform many others that meet expectations. With the HP LaserJet 5100tn printer, the main focus is on its extreme resolution while still performing all the other tasks that is needed in most printing needs. This machine was developed for CAD designers and is known for its exacting precision supremely aided by HP LaserJet 5100tn toner.

The internal memory only comes with a 16 MB cache, which is upgradeable to 192 MB if you so choose, and the processor clocks in at 300 MHz. Its ability to print tops out at twenty one pages per minute with 65,000 pages per month is its workload. But, with its main focus in resolution, that is the specification that stands out. Its ProRes 1200 technology allows the printer to print in exquisitely accurate detail that far surpasses just about any other kind of printer.

Even if it is specialized in designer printing, it is still able to work with many types of media. It can handle standard sized letters, executive and legal paper, and tabloid formats. Number 10 envelopes pose no problem for this machine. Also, medias such as bonded, colored, pre-punched, rough, vellum, pre-printed and recycled paper and be used easily. To increase this machine’s versatility, customizable sizes can also be handled in the sizes 3″ x 5″ to 12.28″ x 18.5″ as long as they are on the before mentioned media types.

Desktop printing can be difficult as it is rather large. The measurements of this machine are 18.7″ wide, 25″ in depth, and 18.6″ high. It has a moderate weight of 48.7 pounds. This allows it to be easily maneuvered but it still weighs enough to be able to keep its position while printing. The most appropriate place to put this printer would be next to the desk or on a low stable table.

This printer will serve well as a networking printing device as it contains the HP WP110 Internal Wireless Print Server. This allows any computer with the right access to be able to use the printer and its abilities. It also carries an industry-standard IEEE 1824-compliant parallel port as well as a Connectivity Card for Serial, LocalTalk, and USB connectivity. An EIO internal print server can be set up if the printer is hardwired in any of the mentioned manners.

Multiple accessories are included with the retail purchase of the 5100tn. Necessary power cables, a free 10,000-page print cartridge, a 100-sheet multipurpose tray, a 250-sheet feeder tray, a hard copy User’s Guide, a control panel overlay, and a CD-ROM containing useful printer software as well as a digital copy of the manual. If necessary, the overlay can be printed for a language other than English.

If you are trying to find a retail version of this printer it can be rather difficult since this model has been discontinued by HP. You will be able to find refurbished models more easily at the price of around $600. There may be other similar printers that come at a much cheaper price, but finding one with the accuracy and detail of this printer can prove difficult. And remember, as the saying goes, “You get what you pay for” when it comes to quality over quantity.

The HP LaserJet 5100tn is an average printer in many respects if you just look at the surface, but CAD professionals and other designers have respected its attention to detail for years as it is very important in their jobs to get the details right. This is a specialized printer for specialized goals. If you simply need a multipurpose, generic print solution, it may not be for you, but if accuracy is your focus, the 5100tn might be just what you need.

The accuracy would not be possible without HP LaserJet 5100tn toner cartridges, of course, however the reliability of HP laser toner should not be a surprise to anyone who knows this brand.  With such workability available, the printer toner cartridges is the final step for precisely clear prints that showcase your style.
